Holiday Pics

Ok so a lot of these pictures could of been deleted but we thought it would be fun to share our struggles with the new camera and oh yeah using the new tripod to take the family X-mas picture. Raquel will add some info later but we wanted to get some of these pics up for X-mas...Happy Holidays to all

So who knew it would be so tough to try and keep up with a blog. I hope you have a few minutes to look through the 354 pictures we have posted. I promise that one day we will try and post more often. I will try and give just a brief description about the photos.

First you will notice a gift that was sent to Hailey from great grandma Lupe in California. It was the cutest Betty Boop Western Doll. She likes to give her hugs and play with her. Hailey also enjoyed tearing through the paper and playing with the box. Thanks Great Grandma!

The next few pictures were taken on Thanksgiving Day while in Bailey at Grandpa Ron's and Grandma Barb's house. We had to take Hailey to visit Henry, The Donkey. We bundled Hailey up in her new coat and went down the street with Grandpa Ron, Auntie Shannon, and Apollo. Hailey wasn't afraid of Henry and she liked petting his coarse hair. On the way back, Dad thought it would be funny to have Hailey help him drive back to Grandpa and Grandma's house. She had fun helping daddy steer when the sun wasn't shining in her eyes.

A few days after Thanksgiving, we got some ornaments from Grandpa Ron and Grandma Barb. We opened them up and Daddy and Hailey hung them on the tree. Sean and I got a really cute Grinch ornament but I don't think we got a picture of it.

We had to share the pictures we took in order to get our Christmas card. It only took us about 100 shots or so. Sean and I had been wanting a tripod so that we could have pictures with all three of us in them. Sean set up the tripod one night and we started taking pictures. Little did we know that it would take so many to get the PERFECT one. Every time we thought we got a decent one, one of us closed our eyes or Hailey was looking the other way. You can notice that our smiles start to fade as we continued taking pictures. It became quite comical and we gave up and decided to try the next night. We were much more successful the second night and it didn't take us as long.

The BIG DAY had finally arrived and we took pictures of Hailey first thing on the morning of her 1st birthday. She was still fast asleep when we went in but once she heard us, she jumped up at once. She was all smiles and we sang to her. That night we decided to let her open a couple of gifts and we bought a slice of chocolate cake for her to try. She enjoyed the cake as Daddy fed it to her. You will notice that we waited until 7:58 and took some special pictures of Hailey. That was the exact time she was born and you will notice the time on the stove in the background.

December 19th was Hailey's Birthday Party. It was a gingerbread theme. We were joined by lots of family and friends. We sure missed our family and friends that couldn't make it. Hailey got tons of fun toys and cute clothes. She liked helping me as we would tear open the gifts. She really enjoyed holding on to the pair of shoes she got. Uh oh, I think she is going to like shopping. :) When it was time for cake, we sat her in the highchair and were ready for the mess she was about to make. To our surprise, she put her hands in the cupcake and didn't seem to like the fact that she was dirty. She kept touching her fingers together and looking at me for help. I wiped off her hands and then fed her some of the cupcake. She liked that better. I don't think she is going to like to get dirty or at least not for now. I think she may be a true girly girl.

After our friends left, we celebrated Sean's birthday. His birthday is on December 12th. He opened his gifts and was surprised with an acoustic guitar given to him from his parents, me, and my parents. He jumped right into it as Ron started to teach him some of the chords. Sean has been practicing religiously every night.

Another gift that Hailey received after her birthday party was from her Auntie Christina and Uncle Jimmy. Auntie Christina is extremely creative. She made the four onesies that are absolutely adorable. Thank goodness we got some more Cowboy gear in the house. Grandma Judy sent the Roger Staubach jersey that you will notice in some of Hailey's birthday party pictures that her Uncle Louie and cousin Lucas wore when they were little. Anyhow Hailey wore one of the onesies and we got some good pictures of her wearing it while she is playing in her crib. It says "Lil Angel" and the back of it has wings. She truly is our angel. Thanks Auntie Christina!

Well I hope you enjoyed all of the pictures. We got some great footage of Hailey's birthday party and of Christmas day. We will try to get that on the blog within the next week, but no promises. :)

Some pics with the new camera

Sorry we have taken awhile to post. It has been crazy in the Bostwick house. We recently purchased a new camera that we have been playing around with. We included all of the pictures we have taken so far. We didn't edit any of them or take any of them out.

You will notice Hailey in her Bronco jersey once again. Her and daddy like to take pictures after Bronco victories (notice the TV in the background where you can see Coach McDaniel cheering because the Broncos beat the Patriots). Hailey gets truly excited when the Broncos score a touchdown and she will clap her hands.

Hailey and I went to a good friend's house for a playdate. Hailey got to play with her friends Natalie and Cobin. Hailey didn't know what to do with all of the toys around her. She had a fun time.

Sean, Auntie Shannon and I took Hailey to a pumpkin patch here in Colorado Springs. Hailey was too small to do any of the activities but she was so interested in everything that was going on around her. She wasn't afraid of the animals and she kept turning her head this way and that so she didn't miss anything. We got to pick out two pumpkins.

Sean and I carved pumpkins the night before Halloween. We were a little late this year due to the horrible weather we had. The Elmo of course was Hailey's.

The last set of pictures are from Halloween night. We stayed home and passed out candy. Hailey enjoyed seeing all of the different costumes. Uncle Pat and Auntie Shannon joined us later in the evening.

Oh and yes Hailey is a lion cub. I don't know why I said she was a bear cub.

Sunday morning and Hailey is 4 and 0

Since Hailey dawned her Denver Bronco gear the team has gone 4 and 0 and it's obviously solely because of her, lol. Last week Hailey wore her BMarsh 15 Jersey and what do you know BMarsh bust a big play against the Cowboys. We received a little help from bad coaching but hey that's what Wade Phillips is good for. Today we play the Pats and we shall see what happens let see how much Magic is left in Haileys Jersey.lol....

Side note to the Fam and the Boyz, should be a fun day for you the Chiefs couldn't beat a High school team. (kidding) I will gladly trade Romo for Orton, heck you can have Orton for a bag of chips and a gift certificate to Taco Bell

I will add a pic of Hailey before game time

Of course, I disagree. Well I agree that Hailey is good luck but she could be a Cowboy fan. She just needs some Cowboy gear (Come on Ibarra family, help me out). Although the Broncos have started off to a good start, let's hope the Cowboys will start to play some football.

Sean and I went to the Bronco/Cowboy game last weekend and had lots of fun. It was amazing to see a real game with my fav team. It's hard enough being in Colorado but then to have family also be Bronco fans, Hailey and I are outnumbered. Ha! Ha!

Sunday, August 16, 2009

OK! So we didn't keep up with our once a week post. I started back at work and I am lucky if I get onto the computer. Things have been busy. Hailey is back at daycare and doing well. She is finally taking the bottle again and is trying formula. She is not too fond of the formula, but she tries.
Sean and I have also noticed little teeth poking out of her gums. Soon she will have her two bottom teeth and the sleepless nights will come to an end (I hope) or at least until the next teeth come in. Overall, Hailey has been really good. We had a bit of a rough week last week where she would just wake up in the middle of the night and be WIDE AWAKE. That has stopped since Friday night so I hope we are back on schedule.

Hailey will be 8 months on Monday if you can believe it. I know we can't. We will try and post a picture of our little angel soon.

Has it really been two months since the last post of Hailey? Here are some pictures of Hailey over the last couple of months (she will be 7 months old on the 17th). Some of the pictures include my family who came to visit us in June.

We will try to keep up better with our posts. We want to attempt to do a Hailey picture of the week. Stay tuned!

Five Months

Wow it seems like forever since I have posted something.  We celebrated Hailey's 5 months on Sunday.  We can't believe how fast she is growing.  Hailey and Sean had a cold at the same time.  Hailey is such a good baby though, always so happy and smiley.  We definitely are so lucky.  Even when she had a stuffy nose and cough, she always had a smile on her face.

We have been giving her cereal for a couple of weeks now.  We can't tell if she actually likes it, but she eats it.  This past weekend we also tried carrots for the first time.  She made some cute faces and I think she liked it better than the cereal.  She tries really hard to drink out of her sippy cup and enjoys throwing it on the floor and watching me pick it up for her.

Auntie Shannon was nice enough to watch Hailey on Saturday and Sean took me out for Mother's Day since they were both sick last weekend.  We had a nice lunch and went to a movie.  Thanks Shannon for watching Hailey.

Grandma Barb and Grandpa Ron came to visit Miss Hailey on Sunday.  It was a short but fun visit.

Well that is all for now.   We will keep you updated.  I have 7 days of school left.  YIPEE!!

Four Months and growing!

Hailey had her four month appointment yesterday and did great.  She was told she was the best baby of the day because she barely cried when she got her shots.  I have been lucky to not have a screaming baby in pain because I know that would break my heart.  She is a little trooper.

She is now 14 pounds and 26 1/4 inches long.  She is very long for her age and I keep telling her that I hope she is tall like her daddy and not short like mommy.

The doctor said she is growing perfectly and loves how happy and smiley she is.  We can start her on cereal now and we are going to try a sippy cup with water.  She is very interested in what I drink and eat.  She watches very closely.  She can almost sit up by herself and she rolls over to one side.  No teeth yet but the doctor says they are definitely moving around.

We'll keep you posted on how the cereal eating and water drinking goes.

I can't believe how fast time has gone by.  Here is our little Hailey starting to sit up like a big girl.  She is such a happy baby, always smiling and posing for the camera.  She is also babbling a lot these days.  She loves to listen to music and watch her Baby First channel on Direct TV.

Back into the swing of things!

Sorry it has been so long since my last post.  I am trying to get back into the swing of things.  I went back to work on Wednesday the 25th of February.  The kids were happy to have me back and I was happy to be back.  Of course, I hated to leave little Hailey behind, but it gives me great comfort to know she gets to be with Grandma Barb.  We did get bad news about our daycare provider.  She and her husband will be moving to Arkansas in June.  We were so excited about her.  We are in the process of looking for someone new.

We can't believe Hailey is coming up on three months the 17th of March.  She is getting so big.  She likes to talk to us (in baby talk of course) a lot and smile.  She tries to hold her head up and I bet she will be sitting up in no time.  She loves to watch her Baby Einstein movies that Grandma Judy and Grandpa Luis got for her.  She still doesn't have a schedule she follows so we are still working on that.  Most of the time she only wakes me up once in the night.

We'll try to get more pictures posted really soon.

2 month appointment

Hailey had her two month doctor's appointment yesterday.  I was very curious to find out how much she weighed and how long she was.   Boy was I surprised to find out she weighed more than I thought.  She is now 12 pounds and 23 1/2 inches long.  The doctor said she is perfect and growing just fine.  Hailey kept smiling and cooing at the doctor while he was explaining the vaccinations she was going to be getting (if she understood what he was saying, I doubt she would have been smiling).  He left and the nurse came in.  Hailey had no idea what was about to happen.  She was first given the oral vaccination and she didn't like that one much but when those BIG needles came, all hell broke loose.  She was screaming.  I picked her up right away and it took a few minutes to calm her down.  As soon as I put her clothes back on and put her in her carrier, she was out.  Thank goodness for my sister in law Kristy and my good friend Erin for letting me in on the secret of Tylenol before the shots.  I truly believed that helped.  Once she woke up, she wasn't fussy and I don't think the shots bothered her much.  I can't believe we have to do this again at 4 months and 6 months.  It just hurts your heart to see your baby in pain.

Our First Photo Session

On Valentine's Day, we went and took family pictures at JC Penney's.  I was a bit worried because Hailey fell asleep in the car and I knew we would have to wake her up when we got there.  You never know if she will be in a good mood or bad mood.  Luckily for us, she was in a good mood.  We were so happy with the pictures.  We had lots of smiles.  I don't get to pick them up until sometime next week.

It wasn't until after the pictures that we encountered some problems.  Sean and I were looking at the pictures making our selections and Hailey started to get a bit fussy, so I decided to go into the changing room to feed her.  All was well.  We were wrapping up the order and Hailey decided to go to the bathroom.  The lady at JC Penney's said laughing "it is never as bad as it sounds".  Boy was she wrong.  I got Hailey back into the changing room and noticed the poop had gone everywhere.  It was all over her new outfit.  So I sat down nervously trying to get her cleaned up.  Thank goodness I had taken an extra change of clothes.  I got her all cleaned up  and we joined Sean.  Sean looked at my sweater and asked what was on it.  YUCK, Hailey had gotten some poop on my new sweater.  I handed Hailey over to Sean so I could put my coat on and Hailey decided to throw up all over Sean's sweater.  By this point, it became a laughing matter.  Sean handed her back to me so he could put on his coat.  We left in a hurry hoping no one noticed.  We were just happy that all of this happened after the pictures.  This will be a great story to share with Hailey when she gets older.

SLEEP at 7 weeks

As many of you already know, Hailey has had her days and nights mixed up and well sleep had not been a part of an everyday activity for me.  I could not believe how much she slept last night.  I put her down at 11:30 pm and she did not wake up until 4:30 am.  She got changed and fed and was back to sleep by 6:30 am.  She finally woke up at 10:20 am.  Now you can call me paranoid, but I was worried because she wasn't sleeping long enough through the night and now is she sleeping too much????  Well I am not going to complain about last night.  I just hope she continues with that sleeping pattern.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Happy Birthday Hailey!

Can anyone else believe that 1 month has already gone by?  Yesterday was Hailey's one month b-day.  Sean and I can't believe how much she is growing and changing everyday.  She is much more alert during the day.  She still has trouble with her days and nights, but it is slowly getting better.  Our dogs Simon and Obie are adjusting to having Hailey around.  We all love her so much.

It was so great to have family in town to help with little Hailey.  My dad and sister left on December 22nd but they helped with keeping the house clean while I was still in the hospital.  My mom was amazing.  She helped with all the cooking, cleaning, and shopping.  She even stayed up on those late nights and would take Hailey so that I could sleep.  My brother and his family came to town for 4 days and even though the time went by way too fast, it was wonderful to see them.  Hailey got to meet her cousins Lucas and Shelby.  They were both so good with her.  Hailey misses everyone so much.  Thank you so much for coming to Colorado to share this special time with Sean, myself, and Hailey.  We really appreciated it!

On January 8th, everyone left and boy was it quiet around here.  I thought to myself:  what am I going to do?  I had gotten used to having family around and they all left me at once.  Hailey and I have gotten used to the quiet house (except for when the dogs are barking).

I am doing just fine.  I go for my six week check up at the end of January.  Hailey goes for her two month appointment on February 20th. I will be curious to see how much she weighs and how tall she is.  At her two week appointment, she had gained 1/2 pound and had grown one inch.  I know she has to be bigger than that by now.

Once again I wanted to thank everyone who has helped Sean and I since baby Hailey has joined us.  Auntie Shannon has already babysat for us while Sean took me out to eat and to a movie.  Dawn and Erin (teachers I work with) have set up dinners for the next two weeks so I don't have to cook.  That has been great.  My friend Marika also made dinner for Sean and I last weekend.  Brianna (co-worker) and her son Cobin came to visit today and brought lunch.  We had a great visit.  Grandma Barb will soon join us (end of Feb.) when I go back to work and she will watch Hailey until my Spring Break.  Sean and I are really blessed to have all of these special people in our lives.  We love you all!

Baby pics and more

Here are some pics we took over the holidays, sorry it's been so long since the last update. I know Raquel is planning on giving a detailed update this weekend. Hailey and mom are doing well just learning how to work around Miss Hailey's sleep schedule. Hope everyone is doing well and had a great holiday.
