Halloween 2010

Halloween was more fun this year because we took Hailey to a few houses to trick or treat.  Grandpa Ron, Grandma Barb, Great Grandpa Floyd, and Great Grandma Norma all came to visit and watch Hailey take part in the festivities.  At first, Hailey wasn't too fond of her kitty ears.  She wanted to take them off until she stepped outside and noticed it was a bit cold.  She kept them on for the rest of the night. At the first couple of houses she wasn't too interested in the candy, she wanted to go into the houses and visit.  We were only going to hit up a few houses but Hailey was having so much fun admiring all of the other costumes and she started to like the fact that people were putting things into her Halloween bag.  She didn't say trick or treat but she did greet everyone with a "Hi" and "Bye".  Once we got back to the house, we went and visited Auntie Shannon to show off the kitty costume.  We are even more excited for next year because she will actually be able to say "trick or treat".

Pumpkin Patch Year 2

Sean and I really liked the pumpkin patch we took Hailey to last year, so we decided to go there again this year.  Besides, Hailey could be more involved this year and she had lots of fun.  She enjoyed checking out all of the different animals they had.  She even got to take a pony ride.  She giggled and waved to everyone as she rode around.  In the barn, she got to see the horses and pet one of them.  The camel was a neat surprise, we don't remember him from last year.  She loved playing in the corn.  She would shovel it into a bucket and then pour it all out.  We think she could have stayed in there all day long.  We even got to go on a cart ride around the pumpkin patch.  It was really windy that day so we took a cart in the back and didn't get hit with too much dust.  On the way home, Hailey was exhausted.  It was time for lunch and then a nap.  She decided that she needed to take off her shoes and then gesture to me no more pictures, it had been enough.

Hailey and the Doggy

Hailey dug into her closet and pulled out this big stuffed dog that was given to her last year.  I didn't realize that she knew it was even in there.  This is what I found when I came into the hallway.  She sure likes her doggy!

No luck for the Broncos or Cowboys! 10/10/10

It ended up being a long day for both Sean and I.  In the morning, Hailey was ready to go with her Royal jersey.  She started off cheering for the Broncos but then had to retire for her nap.  She slept through the rest of the Bronco game. When she woke up,  the Cowboys had already started playing their game so she had a wardrobe change.  She now was sportin' her Princess Cowboy t-shirt.  She looked mighty cute but was no luck for Sean or I because both teams lost. She is a dedicated fan though.  No matter what, she kept cheering and kept a smile on her face.  She even raised her hands when the Cowboys made a touchdown.  That's our girl!

Trip to the Zoo with Grandma Barb and Grandpa Ron

So I guess when you go to the zoo as much as we did this summer, you can only take so many pictures.  Hailey was lucky enough to get to pet a baby wallaby.  She got right in there with Grandma Barb and was pretty proud of herself.  She got even braver and went on the carousel with Sean.  She was enjoying it until about the 100th time around, you can tell in her face that she is not sure about that.  Sean finally took her off and held her.  She looked much happier and felt safer in Daddy's arms.  Thanks for a fun time Ron and Barb!

Bullseye

We think it is hilarious that Hailey rides her horse.  She watches Woody from Toy Story 2 ride Bulleseye so she then gets her Wells Fargo horse and jumps around the house.

How bout them COWBOYS!!!

Ok so I wasn't saying How bout them Cowboys just a couple of weeks ago but I surely can say it now.  After that win over the Texans, I feel a bit more confident.  Hailey has some amazing second cousins who live in Texas and sent her tons of Cowboy gear.  Now she looks cute in her Bronco outfit, but she looks way adorable in her Dallas Cowboys skirt.  I didn't try all of the outfits on so more pictures will be posted once I take them.  Thank You Sylvia and Aida.

GO BRONCOS!

So another season of football is here and we had to get Hailey another jersey because she grew out of her other one and besides Brandon Marshall no longer plays for the Broncos.  The new gear is that of Eddie Royal.  She loves to get her picture taken so she had to show all angles.  You get the back and the front view.  For some reason, she likes playing with the scale.  Hopefully it doesn't mean that she is going to be conscious about her weight.

It's like Christmas!

Hailey was opening a package that Grandma Judy and Grandpa Luis sent to her.  You would have thought she had never seen these toys and stuffed animals before.  She forgot that she was given all of these things to her when we visited California in July but they wouldn't all fit in our luggage.  So when she opened the box, it was like Christmas.  It's nice that she is still small enough that she didn't remember.  I wonder if I can wrap some of her toys up for Christmas?  LOL (We always love her hair after I take it out of ponytails)  :)

Toy Story 3

Sean and I decided to give it a try and take Hailey to the movies to see Toy Story 3. For being her first time, she did rather well. She did have to stand up, sit down, stand up, etc but neither Sean or I had to leave the theater. She enjoyed snacks and drinks while watching the movie. We are proud of our Hailey.

20 months

Yes, it is true Hailey is 20 months old today.  A great friend from work has a thoughtful daughter that wanted to buy this outfit for Hailey.  Hailey squealed when she saw it and was not happy that we had to take it off last night.  She is definitely ready for the new football season but she may be cheering for the Cowboys.  She will have to sport her new Tony Romo jersey that her cousin Lucas gave to her.  Thanks Jill and Haley for the thoughtful gift.

The Best Husband in the World!

I had Back to School Night tonight and it is always such a long day. Sean got off of work early today so he could watch Hailey. He is the best. He took her to the park and then brought her home and gave her a bath. He had her already for bed by the time I got home.

Visit to California

Hailey and I were lucky enough to visit family in California this summer.  It ended up being a last minute visit and we were so excited.  Unfortunately Sean was unable to go with us because he had a tonsillectomy when we got back and had to take two weeks off of work.

There will be several slideshows to view because of course I took LOTS of pictures.  Hailey got to visit with family she met when she was itty bitty and there were family members she got to meet for the very first time.

These are pictures of the first couple of days. I tried to take a picture of her on the plane sucking away on her lollipop, but she kept looking the other way. She did a pretty good job on her first plane ride.

Hailey and I were able to attend my nephew Lucas' birthday party. Hailey was so excited to spend the day with her cousins but she was not happy about not being able to participate in the bowling. She had fun running up and down.

Hailey had her first experience in a pool at her Aunt Kristy and Uncle Louie's house. She had a blast. She kept splashing Grandpa Luis and thought it was the most hilarious thing ever. Her cousins Shelby and Lucas wanted to take Hailey to the Children's Museum in Stockton and so we went there for a couple of hours. It was fun to see Hailey run from section to section.

On our last few days we kept rather busy. Hailey met some of her cousins and had a nice visit with them. She even got lots of clothes from my cousin, Gyna.

We had to make a stop and visit my grandpa Albert's grave. I wanted Hailey to see where her great-grandpa was buried. She got to blow kisses at him and see where he rest in peace.

Hailey got to experience another big swimming pool at her great-aunt Mimi's house. Her Uncle Louie was nice enough to go in the pool with her. She got to swim with her cousin Ruben. It was nice to visit with lots of family. Thanks Tia Mimi for having the BBQ.

You will notice that on the way back home Hailey was rather exhausted and slmost slept the entire flight. I am so glad that we had the chance to visit. Thanks Ibarra family for making it so fun and memorable. Hopefully we will get to visit soon and this time Sean can go with us.

In the Kitchen!

Hailey thought it would be a great idea to put on one of my aprons.  There had to be some adjusting to it but it worked out perfectly.  I thought she looked rather cute.  At first she seemed interested in helping with dinner.  She watched patiently and even had the pot holders nearby (by her feet).  In the end when it came down to helping out, she wasn't so interested anymore.  She wanted that apron off and she wanted it off now.  I guess I will have to wait a couple more years for help in the kitchen.  For now, she can just look cute in the apron.
