In the Kitchen!

Hailey thought it would be a great idea to put on one of my aprons.  There had to be some adjusting to it but it worked out perfectly.  I thought she looked rather cute.  At first she seemed interested in helping with dinner.  She watched patiently and even had the pot holders nearby (by her feet).  In the end when it came down to helping out, she wasn't so interested anymore.  She wanted that apron off and she wanted it off now.  I guess I will have to wait a couple more years for help in the kitchen.  For now, she can just look cute in the apron.

4th of July-2010

Our fourth of July started out wonderfully. Grandpa Ron, Grandma Barb, and Auntie Shannon joined us for a BBQ and relaxing day. We enjoyed each others company while we waited for it to get dark so that we could do our fireworks. As we were getting ready to head outside, it started to rain. Before we knew it, ping pong sized hail began to shower down. Hailey was intrigued by the weather and watched out the window the entire time. There was rain, hail, thunder, and lightning. This was sort of a different kind of firework show, without the fireworks. Hailey didn't know the difference. We took Hailey outside and Grandpa Ron showed her the hail. She had fun playing in it for a few minutes. It continued to rain throughout the night and didn't stop until about 1am so we were never able to do our fireworks. We enjoyed them the next night. Hailey LOVED the firework show that Daddy put on.

The Suitcase Adventure

Sean had stayed the night with his parents last week and hadn't gotten around to emptying his suitcase.  Hailey noticed the suitcase and started to investigate.  She started with just opening it up and looking inside.  She is pretty observant and knew that she could fit in it.  She climbed in and just sat there at first.  She was very proud of herself as she smiled up at us.  Soon she started to experiment.  She grabbed her blanket,  put it up to one side, laid down, and got rather comfy.
