Christmas and more

OK so I don't need to mention how long it has taken us to post. Last post was Hailey's birthday back in December of 2009. Yes I said it "2009"! But hey "2010" is a new year right. Does it matter that we waited until the middle of May to post? Sean was busy all morning updating the blog and downloading pictures. He even showed me how so I should be better about posting. :) There are tons of pictures and so I will just give you a brief description of what is on here. Next time I post, you shouldn't have to look at 500 or so pictures. I will do my best to keep up with it.

These pictures date back to Christmas. You will notice the first set are taken at our house. Sean, Hailey, and I did some of our Christmas here at home before heading to Bailey, CO to the LaLone's. We decided to take some of her presents with us because she had so many to open. She LOVED all of the toys she got. The next few pictures were taken at Barbara and Ron's house Christmas afternoon. Hailey had a whole other set of presents to open not to mention the ones we brought from our house. Everyone else finished opening up gifts and Hailey kept going. It seemed never ending. I don't ever remember getting this many presents. She is a lucky girl. You will notice Hailey showing off her cool shades that her auntie Shannon and Uncle Pat got for her. We had a wonderful Christmas. Hailey had another set of gifts to open from my side of the family. We got some great video of that and Sean will post that soon.

The Dallas Cowboy gear finally made it on Hailey. Thanks to Auntie Christina and Grandma Judy for sending it. Hailey is sporting her #12 jersey that her Uncle Louie and cousin Lucas wore. It looks more like a dress but hey it doesn't matter. She LOVES the Cowboys and did what she had to do to prove it. Besides I think she looks pretty cute. This is when Hailey started taking a couple of steps at a time and could stand up.

Doing Hailey's hair was much easier than I thought. She likes to be stylin' and so she let me start putting her hair in two piggies. Sometimes I would just pop a ponytail right on top of her head. No matter what, she always looked cute.

By the time Valentine's Day rolled around, Hailey was walking and standing up all by herself. You can see in a couple of pictures where she is pulling herself up on her own. She is also coloring a Valentine's Day card she got. We had to take a picture of her St. Patrick's day outfit. She does have a little bit of Irish in her thanks to Daddy.

Hailey got to attend her first Easter Egg Hunt this year thanks to her friend Cobin. She had lots of fun. Grandma Barb went with us and held on to the basket while Hailey put them in there. At first Hailey was more interested in the pine cones and then she got the hang of it. I think she ended up with about 16 eggs. She was quite the Easter egg finder by the end. That night, we started to dye some eggs. We weren't sure if Hailey would be into or not. She really liked putting her hands in the different colored cups and getting us all wet.

Easter Day arrived and we were lucky to have grandma Barb and grandpa Ron here to celebrate with us. Auntie Shannon, great-grandma Norma and great-grandpa Floyd would be joining us for a tasty ham lunch. It was like Christmas all over again. Hailey had so many gifts to open from everyone. She even had gifts to open from grandma Judy and grandpa Luis that were sent to her all the way from California.

The last set of pictures are the most recent ones we have taken. Hailey is kickin' back on a pillow watching TV. She likes to sit in awkward positions but she's comfortable.

Like I said before I will TRY to post at least once a week now that I know how to download the pictures off of our camera. I have a couple more weeks of school so things will be extra busy but I will have no excuse once June rolls around. Love to you all!

Sean and Raquel, Thank you for the wonderful pictures. It breaks my heart to be so far from you. I am beginning to think that we will never be close together again but I have to accept God's will. Lots of love Grandma
