All Went Well

Hailey had her 18 month check up today. She had her last two shots until she is 5. Yay! She is growing like a weed. She weighs 22 pounds and is 34 inches long. She will pass me soon. The doctor says she is doing great.

You can always be assured that Hailey will have a smile on her face when her daddy's around.  This is one of my favorites.  They are both overly excited.

Grandpa Ron's Surprise Birthday Party!

My mother-in-law put together an amazing surprise party for her husband Ron on Saturday, June 19th. Hailey was so excited to experience her 2nd surprise party in only 2 months. She was anxious for her Grandpa to get there so the party could begin. Grandpa Ron finally showed up and the fun began. Hailey played ALL day long. There was no room for a nap and Hailey just wasn't having it. She wasn't going to miss out on anything. Thank goodness for Abbey, Hannah, and Hunter (Ron's other grandkids) because they helped keep Hailey busy. Hailey went back and forth between playing on the slide, swings, in Abbey's room, and just running all over the place. She was such a trooper and didn't get fussy until about 9:00. Who could blame the poor girl? As soon as Grandpa Ron finished opening his gifts, we headed home. I was barely backing out of the driveway and Hailey was already asleep. Poor thing, she had a LONG day. Sean and I enjoyed sleeping in. Hailey didn't wake up until 9:15.

June 17, 2010=one year and a half

Aren't these PJ's the cutest?  My sweet friend Erin always passes her daughter's clothes to Hailey when she no longer fits into them.  It sure has saved us TONS of money. Thanks Erin and Natalie, we appreciate it!

 As you can see, Hailey looks happier in her "I Love Dad" PJ's.  She had just gotten out of the bath and was busy brushing her teeth.  The next night, I had to put her "I Love Mom" PJ's on her and she wasn't so happy with me.   She did not want to take a picture.  She had been brushing her teeth but threw the toothbrush when she saw me get out the camera.  She wanted to smile but somehow it was like she was doing this on purpose.  She wasn't being stubborn was she?  Surely she did not get that from me.

Splish Splash!!

Since Hailey loves bath time so much, we decided to buy her a little pool. She was sporting the day with her OP bathing suit. By the time we got home from the zoo, it started to rain so Hailey didn't get much time in her new pool. She decided that she would just stand on the outskirts of it and put her hand in and splash around. The water was quite cold so she wasn't ready to dive right in yet.

Sunday rolled around and she was ready to get more than just her hands wet. She started out just getting her hands wet. Daddy decided to get in and get his feet wet. If Daddy could do it, so could Hailey. She just stood there at first and wasn't really sure what to think of it. All of a sudden, she sat down and got quite comfortable. I brought out some of her bath toys and she really had a ball. I think she liked having Daddy's flip flops in her pool the best. We stayed outside for about an hour and needed to come in so Hailey could take her nap. Boy was she not happy to come inside. She is going to LOVE being outside all summer. I think we will too.

A Quick Trip to the Zoo

Sean and I decided to buy a membership to the zoo this year. It was a great purchase because now we can go to the zoo whenever we want. We decided yesterday that we didn't want to stay at home so we picked up and went to the zoo for a couple of hours. For those of you familiar with the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, you know you could never see the entire zoo in 2 hours. But that is what is great about having the membership, you can go for as short or as long as you want. Hailey had a fun time observing the different animals. She was able to stroll in her stroller, walk for a brief time, or be held. Here a some pictures we took while visiting the zoo.
